&“Buy American” Status -
- RUS acceptance of RADWIN 2000 allows US service providers to use federal rural broadband funding to deploy RADWIN’s solutions -
Tel-Aviv, Israel – November 2, 2009 - RADWIN (www.radwin.com), a leading provider of Backhaul and Broadband Wireless Solutions, today announced that its RADWIN 2000 microwave radio received USDA Rural Development acceptance and “Buy American” status from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Utilities Service. RUS (Rural Utilities Service) acceptance and “Buy American” status are required for service providers who request federal funds from the Broadband Initiative program (BIP), which is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), for the purpose of purchasing and deploying broadband networks and services.
RADWIN 2000 is widely deployed throughout the US by leading service providers and cellular carriers for applications such as Cellular and IP backhaul and broadband access. The sub-6 GHz radios present a new level of reliability and ease of installation, delivering high capacity of up to 100 Mbps and long range of up to 75 miles, with advanced technologies such as OFDM and MIMO inside. Delivering multiple frequency bands over a single platform, the RADWIn 2000 Multi-band radio ensures utmost transmission resiliency and field flexibility.
Ilan Moshe, President, RADWIN USA, stated: “We are honored that RADWIN 2000 was accepted by RUS and excited to participate in RUS funded projects, which will accelerate connectivity across rural America and help bridge the digital divide. Our systems fit many of the rural deployment scenarios where there are sparsely populated communities and ARPU is relatively low, because there is just a one-time investment and fast ROI. Now service providers can utilize federal funds to extend connectivity with RADWIN 2000 and reach more people in more communities.”

DENVER--(Business Wire)--
As the company continues to expand its reseller channel,Sorrento Networks, a
global provider of metro optical access solutions, announced today that TelWorx
Communications, LLC, has joined Sorrento`s partner program.
TelWorx, a certified provider of products, solutions and technical services for
wireless, wireline, data centers and government customers, now offers Sorrento`s
GigaMux and GigaEdge product lines to its Tier 2 and 3 Local Exchange Carrier
(LEC) customers in North America.
"Traffic on the world`s networks continues to increase, and our customers are
searching for solutions to maximize the use of their fiber," said Tim Scronce,
president and CEO of TelWorx. "Our company`s mission is to understand our
customers` needs and help them meet those needs - by partnering with Sorrento we
have the ability to offer them a true competitive metro Ethernet DWDM/CWDM
product portfolio and to design complete solutions for obtaining more bandwidth
on their fiber."
Sorrento`s GigaMux DWDM platforms enable enterprise and service provider
customers to deliver high-speed services that require a significantly reduced
capital outlay and fewer management requirements than other optical networking
products. A protocol-independent design allows the GigaMux platform to transport
and extend the traffic of SONET/SDH, layer 2/3 Ethernet and SAN simultaneously

allows customers to add or upgrade bandwidth incrementally based on traffic
requirements. Sorrento`s GigaMux product portfolio includes the GigaMux
1600/3200, 6400 and 6440.
Sorrento`s GigaEdge Optical Services Provisioning Platforms (OSPP) aggregate the
many different services found at the edge of the network and solve the
high-capacity optical upgrade needs of customers. Sorrento`s GigaEdge product
portfolio includes the GigaEdge 232 and 820 series.
"We were extremely interested in working with TelWorx because the company has
excellent relationships with the LECs across North America," said Kevin Antill,
vice president of sales, Sorrento Networks. "In addition, they have the ability
to sell total solutions, not just off-the-shelf boxes, and our customers have
unique networking issues that often require customized solutions. Because of

RADWIN Chosen by Arvada Fire Department in USA for High-Capacity Connectivity
- RADWIN’s wireless broadband systems connect Fire Stations, providing dedicated, long-range connectivity -
Tel-Aviv, Israel – October 14, 2009 - RADWIN (www.radwin.com), a leading provider of Backhaul and Broadband Wireless Solutions, today announced that the Arvada Fire Department in Colorado, USA, chose RADWIN’s systems to connect Fire stations to headquarters and provide high-capacity, long-range connectivity. Telworx, RADWIN’s Certified US Partner, was the distributor for the project.
Scott Winberg, IT specialist, Arvada Fire Department, stated: “We were previously leasing T1 lines and paying tens of thousands of dollars per year to connect our stations with headquarters. Additionally, one of the stations was also the data center and the 1.5 Mbps was simply not adequate for our needs. We had previously looked at a licensed radio network, but found it was too expensive and that it would take years to recoup our investment. We then decided to evaluate license-free wireless broadband systems because they presented a compelling price/performance offering. Today, following the deployment of RADWIN’s radios, we couldn’t be happier with their high capacity and performance.”
Chris Day, Vice-President of Wireless Sales, Telworx, stated: “We knew RADWIN’s systems were perfect for this project based on previous successes. We deployed a combination of WinLink 1000 and RADWIN 2000 systems, and the Arvada Fire Department now has a 48 Mbps net throughput connection between the data center and HQ and at least 15 Mbps to all the stations. They expect to have an ROI of about 12-14 months while increasing their service to each location by at a factor of 10X or more.”
Ilan Moshe, President, RADWIN US, stated: “We our proud to serve the Arvada Fire Department. Our systems meet the mission-critical Voice & Data needs of First Responders such as Fire, Police and Emergency services. With our systems in place, Emergency Services can connect stations and benefit from a high-speed, reliable connection at a competitive price.”
